The Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers hosts four contests that highlight the strengths of today’s young farmers. From recognizing outstanding achievement in production agriculture to highlighting those involved in Farm Bureau, these contests offer an opportunity to recognize the best of Louisiana’s young farmers.

The YF&R Discussion Meet is designed to simulate a committee meeting where discussion and active participation are expected from each committee member. Participants build basic discussion skills, develop a keen understanding of important agricultural issues and explore how groups can pool knowledge to reach consensus and solve problems.
