Meet the 2018 YF&R Achievement Award Finalists

Matt Dennis

Matt Dennis is a third-generation farmer who grows about 6,000 acres of soybeans on his family farm in East Carroll Parish.

Jacob Ezell

Jacob Ezell farms corn, soybeans and cattle in Madison Parish, who says farming is not just his job - it's his calling.

Jacob & Kari Rumbaugh

Kari and Jacob Rumbaugh farm corn, soybeans, wheat and cattle in Caddo Parish. They say that coming back to the farm has allowed them to live a lifestyle they love, while doing a job that has a higher purpose.

This year's finalists are some of the best young farmers Louisiana has to offer -- Matt Dennis, Jacob Ezell and Jacob and Kari Rumbaugh. These three finalists all hope to be named the 2018 YF&R Achievement Award winner at this year's convention.

The winner will receive a $35,000 cash prize, courtesy of Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company, compete at the 2019 American Farm Bureau convention in New Orleans, LA, and other great prizes.
